THE DRAW:

MARTIN sold, picked and won the stupid draw.

HAPPY BUCKS:

JEREMY, Going to Vegas for a hockey tournament, but he torn his ACL so he can’t play, don’t know why he is still going, there is nothing to do there.

NORBERT, Happy to be invited to show his Art Work at an exhibit put on by the Brampton Art Council.

SAD BUCK:

DANNIE, sad his cousin from way back, singer Rita Mac Neil passed away down east.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

D MAC: RACES on Sat. April 27, if you signed up to go make sure you show up.

He also brought us up to date on a meeting he attended on our behalf re the Bingo new setup. E Bingo, we are approved for it and it will only require 2 members to run a session. It is a lot easier than in the old days, no paper to sell and basically no running around. We just have to be there to oversee the session. There is another meeting on June 24th, but if we want to do it we should let them know sooner rather than later. This could be better than Hockey, but it could have weirder hours or days.

WAYNE: Read a real nice letter that his wife Terry wrote to Radhika at the Brampton Guardian re the state that the Perpetual Bazaar at 21 Queen St. W. is in. They have been there for 39 years and need a lot of help. It is a not-for-profit senior citizens endeavor and has been a mainstay of downtown for years. The building is in a sad state of disrepair, (this is why we wanted to help on the Day Of Giving) but the situation is so bad they won’t last till then. He letter asked for the Guardian to get City and the politicians involved to help keep the store running. (It was a great letter, sure hope that someone at the paper or the city steps up.

Wayne is also ending his penny drive at the end of June. As you have probably noticed nobody is dealing in pennies any more so we are not getting them. So far Wayne has collected 642,731 pennies, that is a bunch, so you have a couple of more months to get the other 769,769 that would make his goal of 1,412,500.

The rest of the meeting was a Directors Meeting to discuss the club and weather we do Hockey or Bingo or Both. Jeremy is to send out an anonymous survey so we can decide what the club wants. We have decide real soon or we miss both opportunities.

Don’t forget Sunday June 9th is set aside for our Games Day Afternoon.
