ANNOUNCEMENTS:

JACK: Next week’s meeting, April 6th, we will have former member Pav Penna talk to us. He will be challenging us to answer this skill testing question:

“Canada has a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 17% from 2005 levels by 2020. By how much - in Celsius degrees – will global warming be affected annually if we are successful in meeting this goal?”

He’s betting that you can’t find out and is willing to offer an adult beverage for the individual with a reasonably correct answer. In the very unlikely event of more than one correct answer, the winner will be chosen by lottery. He’ll also bring you up to speed on the David Suzuki dirty old man sex scandal!

Spot One Banquet Hall, Rutherford Rd. 12 noon - meet and greet. 12:15 lunch and business, 1:00 guest speaker, 1:30 done.

JEREMY: There will be a Director’s meeting before the regular meeting. 11:00 Please.

WAYNE: Day of Giving is coming, May 11 perhaps, and there is a store in downtown Brampton ran by 2 older women who need help. It is called Perpetual Bazaar, and the store is in need of painting and repairs. We hope that will be our project this year. He will bring us more details when he gets them.

JEREMY: He made the prediction that his and DWAC’S team will win and they did and David’s wearing the hockey shirt to prove it.

DANNIE: Went on a site, Blast From the Past, found 2 lost relatives he didn’t know he had, he’s very excited about this, he didn’t know his parents had any children that lived.

DWAC:  The first testicular guard, (the cup) was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974. This means it only took 100 years for men to realize that their brain is also important.

SHASHI: Always happy to be able to come and join us for lunch. Greetings to all.

NORBERT: Found a dollar so he wants to share it will the club and tell us that his “Art Career” has taken a turn. His other Agent has found a connection with Marina’s and Boats and this creates a whole new audience for his work. Docks and Yachts.

SPEAKER:

SCOTT CHING has been involved with the city and community for many years. He helped Russ set up the Polar Chilly Open all those years ago. When he heard we are losing the Battalion revenue he thought that he could help us. The Bingo Hall has been sold. Brampton Rotary Club no longer owns it. Delta Bingo does now and they are bringing in Electric Bingo (E Bingo) Will not need the manpower, only 2 members per session, but still needs, Clubs, Groups, Charities, to run them. Sounds good. We will investigate further into it.

HOCKEY GAME ON GOOD FRIDAY, 7:30 COULD BE OUR LAST GAME.
